Dr. Carl Guan is Partner and Head of Energy Investment at NIO Capital, focusing on batteries, energy infrastructure and advanced tech investments since 2017, with landmark deals in Rongbai Technology, CALB, United Winners Laser, Shanghai Superconductor and more.
He previously worked in secondary market research at BOC International Securities and founded multiple ventures. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University under U.S. NAEs fellow Professor Mladen Kezunovic, and received his bachelor’s degree from Zhejiang University Honors Program. He is a recipient of FOF Research Center’s 40U40 Outstanding Young Investors award.
