Dato’ Davis Chong is the Executive Director and Group Chief Executive Officer, as well as
a founding member of Solarvest Holdings Berhad, where he has led the Company’s
transformation from a small and medium enterprise into a publicly listed entity on Bursa
Malaysia’s Main Market. Under his leadership, Solarvest has successfully executed
strategic commercial plans across Malaysia’s solar market, spanning grid-tied and off
grid systems, self-consumption models, and multiple segments including rooftop,
commercial and industrial, and utility-scale solar, building a cumulative portfolio
exceeding 3 GWp, while being guided by the vision of “Energising A Regenerative World”.
At the helm, he is steering the Group beyond solar into new clean energy verticals such
as battery energy storage systems, green mobility infrastructure, and green hydrogen,
alongside expanding its geographical footprint across Asia Pacific to strengthen
Solarvest’s position as a comprehensive regional clean energy expert. Beyond the Group,
Dato’ Davis is deeply committed to sustainability advocacy, having served two
consecutive terms as President of Malaysian Photovoltaic Industry Association from
2021 and continuing to contribute as an advisor since April 2025, actively promoting
progressive solar policies in Malaysia and advancing the nation’s role in the global
sustainability movement.
