Oscar is a hands-on investor interested in technology startups transforming traditional industries across Emerging and Frontier Markets (Africa, Latin America, and Emerging Asia) to drive economic development and raise living standards in an environmentally sustainable way.
A full-stack innovator with nearly 20 years of experience in Asia, he brings expertise spanning product design, go-to-market, and venture investing. He began his career in the corporate sector as R&D Engineer at Ericsson and Telefónica, working on deep-tech applications such as mobile network protocols, cybersecurity, and biotechnology. A serial entrepreneur before joining SOSV/Orbit, he built and led his own micro-fund, investing in early-stage startups. He holds a Master’s in Telecommunications Engineering from UPM (Madrid).
