Thana Slanvetpan

Dr. Thana Slanvetpan currently serves as Senior Vice President for Technology
Commercialization and Venture Building Division and a General Manager (GM) for Xplor Ventures Company Limited, a CVC arm of PTTEP. His focus is on harnessing innovation to drive decarbonization and support energy transition, paving ways to future sustainability of
the nation and the planet.
Since joining PTTEP in 2005, Thana has held several technical and managerial positions and worked on a number of projects & assignments. These include positions in the fields of project management, engineering & construction, new ventures, technology development, and maintenance & inspection. In 2018, embracing digital technologies as an integral part of business transformation, he led the pioneering team at PTTEP to set up a tech spin-off AI & Robotics Ventures (ARV) to leverage cutting-edge AI & Robotics technology to create intelligent solutions to business challenges, both within Oil and Gas vertical and beyonds.
Thana earned his BSc in Chemical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University. He also holds MSc and Ph.D. in the same field from New Jersey Institute of Technology. His Ph.D dissertation was an application of artificial neural networks for advanced process control of a combustion system.
